OFFICIAL: 4 teams to compete in Copa America 2019 semi-finals

The quarter final match between Uruguay and Peru ended, then identify 4 teams to advance to the semi-finals.

Brazil

Only facing Paraguay, Brazil, encountering many difficulties, is rated as the underdog team in the semi-finals. In the penalty shootout, only Alisson’s excellent saves, Brazil was able to overcome this hard-fought group.

Argentina

With their unimpressive performance, Argentina showed their bravery as a candidate to win Copa America this year. Martinez’s and Lo Celso's two goals helped the runner-up to defeat Venezuela, who had previously held the Brazilian host in the group stage.

Chile

The reigning champion Chile is still on the way to defend its glory. Before Colombia, the team did not concede in the group stage but Chile played extremely well. Being denied twice by VAR, Sanchez and his team-mates defeated the opponent on the 11th-minute mark.

Peru

Undoubtedly, Peru is the biggest name for Copa America title this year. Getting into the quarterfinals as the best ranked third team, Peru excellently drew the Uruguayan champions in 90 minutes. Gareca’s men continued to create a seismic when defeating the opponent on the lucky penalty shootout.
